VR06 Transporter Course
VR05/06 Transporter with underlift lift / spec lift Course
This course includes the essential knowledge and practical skills required for anyone who uses a recovery vehicle/transporter and associated equipment.A VR06 or VR05/06 certificate can be awarded to match the vehicle you use, depending on wether you have a spec lift/second car lift attached.

7 Driver CPC hours can be claimed from this course - Please select to add CPC hours when booking - a DVSA/IVR charge of £30pp per 7 hours applies.
Course is certified by the IVR (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) which satisfies PAS43, NHSS 17 & other compliance requirements

No previous experience or knowledge is required to join this course
The course includes a small amount of reading and writing and a question, this course is mostly practical/hands on training. We often have people who are not confident with reading and writing who successfully complete the course and we are prepared to assist with this.
On successful completion of this course certificates are provided by the IVR (Institute of Vehicle Recovery), which are recognised by/compliant with National Highways Sector Scheme NHSS 17/17(b) & PAS 43...

This is an open course allowing people to complete the course with their own recovery/transporter vehicle or the vehicle use in their employment.
This details of the vehicle will be included on the certification to prove that training has been completed with the specific equipment being used when working, which covers an important requirement of Health & Safety and work equipment requirements.
This will require the trainee to attend with a suitable recovery/transporter vehicle with winch.
We provide all other equipment required.

(Day 1 Classroom/Outdoor Practical - Day 2 Outdoor Practical)
Topics covered include...
Vehicle and equipment Checks, Operation and Use
Correct Loading and Unloading of a vehicle
Winching resistance theory and practice
Practical time loading, securing and unloading vehicles
Other practical time if usefull/relevant to the trainee such as using other equipment including wheel skates, winch assistance straps, winching blocks, recovery of damaged/non rolling vehicles and from areas with limited space.
